A Face of the Day With New Products From L'Oréal - Makeup and Beauty Blog
How's it going, you guys!? I've been having such a smash doing these posts and getting to conversation with some of you. I am so glad to put a face to the beautiful people I'one thousand writing to.
Oh, how is my twenty-four hour period going, you ask? Well, permit me tell ya. I accidentally barbarous asleep on the couch in the middle of the day while my son Kai was hanging out in the living room with me (I promise, that is a very rare occurrence).
He knows when to accept advantage of people, like when his mom is besides tired to function, and then he institute a blueish marker somewhere, somehow, and scribbled all over our beige microfiber burrow…
Non cool, Kai, not absurd.
Go ready, Karen, because Connor will destroy everything y'all hold dearest! 🙂
So, in light of today'due south events, I am locking myself in the sleeping accommodation while my beloved hubby takes his turn at scrubbing the couch, and I'1000 going to chat with yous guys about 50'Oréal. That should cheer me up!
I have a theory about L'Oréal…
Let me explicate. Did you know that they actually own tons of different brands, including a bunch of high end brands like YSL, Lancome, Georgio Armani, and Urban Decay?
Cool huh? But back to my theory.
I think because they're involved with so many high quality brands, their makeup is actually comparable quality, just at a much cheaper cost.
That would brand sense, right? Over again, but a theory.
Another bang-up affair almost the brand is that they do absolutely no testing on animals, and they haven't since 1989. That is such a absurd accomplishment in my eyes.
OK, let's go to the makeup.
Using (mostly) L'Oréal makeup, I created this look here…
Outset I tried L'Oréal True Lucifer Lumi Cushion Foundation, and if you oasis't heard of these new cushion foundations, they're basically sponges soaked in foundation and put into a compact.
Weird, right? I'one thousand a fiddling confused past the whole concept myself, but tons of brands have been doing them, and so there must be some perk!
I really idea information technology was super convenient. It comes with a piddling puff that you dip into the product, so pat on your face up. I like it considering y'all don't demand a divide brush. Everything you need is right at that place, although y'all totally could apply another brush or sponge if you like the application meliorate. Just brand sure anything you dip in there is super clean. Information technology seems like this product could exist a playground for nasty leaner.
The coverage is pretty light but does build up to be about a medium coverage. I don't call up you'd be able to get up to full coverage with this one. As you can see below, information technology won't cover any massive creatures chillin' on your chin.
As the name suggests, it also gives you the most gaw-geous luminous glow, and I'g all virtually dat glow. This ane is a real winner for me!
Next upward is this beautiful little forehead kit, the 50'Oréal Brow Stylist Prep & Shape Pro Kit. This one here is in shade "medium to dark".
How dandy would this be merely to chuck in your purse and have for touch-ups?! It comes with a wax, a pulverization, a little angled brush with a spoolie on the cease, and a pair of little tweezers.
I call back the production itself is excellent, but information technology'south simply not for me, just similar every other pulverisation forehead product I've tried. I think that powders don't work for my brows because, let's be honest, they're kind of massive.
Don't get me wrong, I love my full brows, only I feel like powders just make them look too huge and fuzzy. That probably makes no sense, but pencils just work so much better for me.
If yous love using powders and waxes on your brows, go this. I really think you lot'll love information technology.
Ugh, corking. I've discovered more great centre shadows, which means that I have to buy every shade, and I actually don't need any more than.
"Why not just show some restraint and non get more, Jen?" you may ask. Well, because I am an addict, and so I don't take a selection. At least that's the story I'1000 going with.
The shadows I'm talking well-nigh are the L'Oréal Colour Riche Monos Eye Shadows. I'm regretting e'er using the descriptive word "buttery" for another eye shadow because I actually need to use that give-and-take for these.
They're just and so buttery! — like literal butter. It's actually a fiddling scrap trippy. They're a powder, but they almost feel like a foam. The pigmentation is amaze-assurance (likewise wishing I saved that word for these), too, equally is the blendability.
I used the shade chosen "Greenish Promenade" all over the chapeau, "Little Beige Dress" as a transition shade, and "Buffet Au Late" to deepen the outer corner.
Then I wanted to effort out the L'Oréal Voluminous Superstar Cerise Rug Black Flash Reflecting Mascara. This 1 has ii steps — a priming footstep, then the actual black mascara. When I applied the primer I had super high hopes for how my lashes were going to turn out, and afterward putting on the white primer, my lashes looked super long and separated, then I thought, "Perfect! Now I'll just put on the second stride, and that'll add some volume. Then my lashes will expect perfect! Woo!"
Sadly, my dreams were shattered. When I put on the second step, information technology was like Dodder Urban center all up in my lashes. It took a lot of work to even become them to look decent, then I'chiliad going to have to give this one a thumbs downwardly.
At present permit's contour! My favorite step. Nothing feels amend than going from a circle face to looking like you have real life cheek basic. The L'Oréal Infallible Pro Contour Palette volition give you those cheek bones nosotros all see in our dreams. I used the "light" ane, and the contour color was just perfect. Non as well orange, then it mimics how a shadow would look. I used this literally every mean solar day since I tried it, and I oasis't even thought about some of my more expensive options.
The highlight, I don't use equally much. It'south nice though — only a low-cal, semi shimmery powder that looks good on top of the cheek bones. I notwithstanding use another hardcore highlight on meridian because I'grand merely so hardcore. The little brush it came with went strait in the garbage considering it was just weird, then I'd utilise whatsoever brush you already love for contouring.
Final, only most definitely non least, I tried the Fifty'Oréal Infallible Pro-Matte Gloss. These are unlike any other lip product I've tried. The consistency reminds me of — now I know this is super weird, but bare with me — mashed potatoes.
Wait, what?
Non in a nasty, gritty way, but a delightfully frothy (?) fashion… Honestly, just ignore my bizarre descriptive words, and endeavor it for yourself.
They're moisturizing and comfortable, but matte. They don't settle into the dry patches or lines on your lips, which brand them await super smoothen and kissable. Two thumbs upwards.
Phew! That was a long one. If y'all guys accept fabricated it this far with me, let me know what your favorite drugstore brand is and why!
